Let’s start by reading the following conversation between Luis and Juliette:Vamos começar lendo uma conversa entre Luis e Juliette: L: You should watch Gordon Ramsey’s new cooking show. It’s really good!  L: Você deveria assistir o novo programa de cozinha do Gordon Ramsey. É muito legal! J: Yes, I saw you sent my brother an email about it.  J: Sim, eu vi que você o enviou para o meu irmão pelo e-mail. L: I have watched every episode. The other day I was looking for a chocolate cake recipe and found his show online. We should watch it in the evening.  L: Já vi todos os episódios. No outro dia eu estava procurando uma receita de um bolo de chocolate e encontrei seu programa on-line. Podemos assisti-lo esta noite. J: That sounds perfect!  J: Legal! Do you know what the difference between “see””, “watch” and “look” is? Let’s have a look! ;) Você sabe a diferença entre “see”, “watch” e “look”? Vamos ver!  We use see to mean simply that an image comes into our eyes. It may not be a choice, if our eyes are open, we see things. For example: Usamos “see” quando nos referimos a uma imagem que temos diante de nós. “See” não é uma decisão, somente quando temos os olhos abertos, vemos coisas. Por exemplo:  “I can see clouds in the sky” “Vejo nuvens no céu”  When we look, we concentrate on seeing something. It is a choice. For example: Quando dizemos "look", nos concentramos em ver algo. É uma decisão consciente. Por exemplo:  “Look! Isn’t this a lovely dress?” “Olhe! Não é um vestido lindo?”  There are a lot of phrasal verbs for “look”. Here are three very common phrasal verbs. Existem muitos phrasal verbs com "look". Aqui temos os três mais comuns:  - Look at: used to direct someone's attention to something or someone.  - Look at: O utilizamos para mostrar algo, fazer com que as pessoas olhem para algo. - Look for: to search for something or someone.  - Look for: procurar algo ou alguém. - Look after: to take care of someone or something.  - Look after: cuidar de alguém ou de algo.  Ok, let’s see if you understood today’s lesson: what is the correct answer to the following quiz? ‘Did you ______ the football match last night?’  A. look B. look at C. watch If you want to find out the correct answer, watch the video below.
